Last Female Amur Leopard

The last seven surviving female Amur leopards was been shot by Hunters in Russia.

This is sick, we don't one species of a animal in the world. Its been killed just for fun or for the sake of doing it. This would happen soon for all the wild if countries are still allowing / not controlling hunting.

Mom

Teaching computer for my mom was quite interesting, she started learning from finding the special keys like alt, ctrl .. etc..

She was excited and fascinated to learn something new. She found it a bit difficult in my Laptop as the key as small and different from that of normal keyboard.

I felt happy when taught her something which we are doing it daily. So knowledge to be shared..

Elevator Boys

I am fascinated on few things I see daily in the morning.

Our office is in a huge campus and our floor has around 100 plus people, we have 8 floor like that, approximately of the same crowd.

Everyday morning, when taking the elevator, the neatly dressed little lift boys (the person who operates the elevator, the average age would be early 20's) gives a pleasant smile wishes and takes me to my floor, no question asked, I will never display the ID card outside my office. But still he finds the floor, its not with me, but he takes all the employee to their floor Correctly. I would say this memory they have a good gift. I heard stories earlier that in a Church a boy who collects the Hats and umberlla and returns to the right owner, no tokens are names written, I seeing such a person every day.

I know people who forget name of family members too.. these guys are amazing.

Good that we don't have the access to these kinds of Guns yet. And let it be the same

Automation in more areas..

The world is automated.. things are happening easily, booking tickets, handling bank accounts, shopping, managing assets.. everything like this.

But what needs to be changed here is allowing the stamp papers (the one we use to confirm our property ours) to all banks as now only State bank of Mysore has the authority to sell stamp papers, there is a huge Queue standing in from of the branch every day.

Do authorities wants this to happen, inviting people to their branch and making them stand for a couple of hours, the could have sold these stamp papers in all the SBI's or in all nationalized banks.

This will make the middle man happy..

Happenings In and Out

Monday .. tough day in the week, lot of things happening out at work checking server status, making sure all the jobs which needs to run on week ends are completed and many others.

Inspite of this, I was seeing the status of my update of WIKI which I did last week, confirming the info given by C, which seems to be incorrect as every time I make change, the changes are restored back with the previous version. Now thing are Happening In.. why do someone have to give a wrong info inspite of asking them, or is that change done is wrong. Anywhy waiting for the response from C, which I am sure I will not get.

So what next to this dilemma stop doing things which people are not truthful or serious.

Humanity in people

Today is Sunday .. Was doing the same.. Watching a bit of TV and did some pending work.

Life is running peaceful (Nimadhi if you say in Tamil), who will let this word, a family who is earning good for the daily food, who are health and who live for their day. But, One family who had three kids who were 21, 19 and 17 all the three are affected by immune polio and they can't perform any activities of their own, the family is not having even proper food for the day, they don't have a proper work to support their living. The mother of this family is telling that they are living their life peacefully; they are thanking God for keeping them alive for supporting their kids.

This is not a story but a real family happening in mayiladudurai, was shown in makal aramgam in Jaya TV, (a Show hosted by Director Visu). The person who hosted the show asked the audience to help the family and the family wanted around 50k to save them (to start a lathe) , the people on the show where kind enough to give money to the family and the collected amount was around 1.18 lakhs.

People in mayiladudurai are not software engineers and not the ones who do a white collar jobs, they don't work in big MNC or big enterprises. So people who wanted to help others have to just have a good heart. So what are we going to do to help these kind of events.. We have to think seriously.

TV NO more a Stupid Box ..

Was spending time with GOD (In Temple) as today is New Year and watching some TV.

When quick browsing the channels, happened to see Junior Super Singer in Vijay TV, Great show its like a opportunity boom for talented.

Noticed the Confidence and the determination of the kids. The maturity of the kids who accepted the results, Some were regected or were kept in waiting list, they had a lot of hope in then and a great self confidence with a great voice.

They had their parents standing around and ready to console / appreciate them with their gifts / some without them, heard some stories that parents where not ready to send them but still insisted in taking part and few won the show.

This is a Great work of Vijay TV (they are off the usual drama's and movies) as they are interacting with people making them take part in their shows (To name a few Kalaka povuthu yaru, Super Singer and many more..) its like a WEB 2.0 revolution happening in Televisions.

If this continues ... TV is no more a stupid Box.

Search Engines .. Next Level

As usual just a thought ..

I would personally go for a search engine which would actually listen to my queries, say for example I hear some song, want to know the details, I would just send the clip which would give the result of the searched query (here the clip).

So for doing that.. what all would be required.. (For our comfort we will take only music category)

  1. The will be a universal format for all the files, so the search engine will have a compressed universal file formats.
  2. The separation of the music (audio files) will be based on following categories
    1. Categorize based on Male Singers , Female Singer and other singer.
    2. The various music types will be separated like Rock, Blues, Country etc..
  3. Bunch of servers (or even Data Centers) which has all the songs with the above categories which are released till date. Each file could have two version, base version with only the lyrics, one with music(beats), for easier search. The songs will be indexed
  4. The query will be once again converted and categorized, but the query would be a part of the music file, what more could be done for efficient search.
  5. If the music is original then there is a little ambiguous, or we would end up with multiple results like what we get now.
  6. The music could be converted to Sine waves or a (search engine) patented format which would run a match
where you got the result of the file you search for..

Good right, this is a original idea which I got when waiting for my server to come up.

So if you require to copy any of my ideas.

..

I will not do anything .. just name the product with my name.

Petro Bunks go dry tomorrow

Petrol Bunks go dry tomorrow as there is a strike to happen, Hope the fuel prices don't increase.

My bad the news now says that the strike is called off tomorrow and there is going to be a indefinite strike from April 28. Which is more serious than I thought.

Note made me laugh

Was talking to my friend on the Shivaji songs and music, we were talking about the release date etc.

One note he told, made me nuts..

Please get me the tickets for the first day of the Show, I would pay any cost for it and its a one things I can add to my Resume.

Still giggling thinking of it...

Shivaji - songs

Went to Landmark in Forum to take out a piece of A.R. Rahman's work - Shivaji, The Boss.

Went straight to the Car and loaded the CD (Did not want to wait). Was amazed to see photographs of Super Star some 30 Plus years younger.

The songs are in the order in CD are

  1. Balleilakka Sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Reihana, Benny Length 6.08 Lyrics by Na. Muthukumar
  2. Style Sung by Blaaze, Tanvi, Rags, Suresh Peters Length 5.13 Lyrics by Pa. Vijay
  3. Vaaji Vaaji Sung by Hariharan, Madhushree Length 5.49 Lyrics by Vairamuthu
  4. Athiradee Sung by A. R. Rahman, Sayonara Length 5.47 Lyrics by Vaali
  5. Sahana Sung by Udit Narayan, Chinmayi Length 5.21 Lyrics by Vairamuthu
  6. The Boss Sung by Naresh Iyer, Blaaze, Raqueeb Alam Length 3.20 Lyrics by Na. Muthukumar, Blaaze
  7. Sahara Sung by Vijay Yesudas, Gomathishree Length 4.32 Lyrics by Vairamuthu Plus has thirupavi
First thought, after the listening to all songs is .. we got back our Rahman.. (He was missing for some time both in his music and in person)

To be particular, Sahana Song was good Udit has done a good job and Chinmayi's voice is different, Next would be AR Rahman's
Athiradee . I like the Sahara song sung by Vijay Yesudas. (A soft version with Thirupavi in it)

So, Now eager to watch the movie.

I Insist on one thing - Always Buy Original CD / Audio Cassettes.

The List is from the original CD and will not breach any copyright as no modification to the originals - Copyright to AVM Audio

Music..

Music is an art form that involves organised sounds and silence.

Earlier I had a impression that only the music which I can understand the words were enjoyable..

But it proved to be very wrong, Morning when driving to office, heard a Kannada songs which I could hardly make out the words, but the musical part was great.

So concluded that even Silence is music.

Spending Sunday..

Spending time with family and friends on a weekend is a great thing [Never afford to miss it]. I tried the same (ended up with other things), went for evening out with family and family friends (not my friends).

As Bangalore is a place, where you have a very few places to visit, to go around.

The city is sinned with traffic (and I added by part by one more), took around a hour to reach Church street.

I have a lot of company over there (that's what I can say by seeing the crowd over there family and kids shouting at parents ears want to go, want to go....) in Amoeba. Gentleman over there put me on wait list and my magic did not work there, so waited for almost 2 hours and finally entered the bowling alley.

wait..

I am not going to describe the horrible score I took in the alley. (Which I don't what to thing of it now too.. )

But just thinking if our Bangalore has more places to visit taking family members (read: parents aged early 50's and late 50's, not great in understanding the sudden changes with "Happening" Bangalore) to spend time (not only few grands a couple of hours) with limited (not so much) crowd, so we can sit and talk to each other, see what we can do to reduce the Global warnings, make America stop the war against other countries etc (read: talks which we need to forget after finishing)

Parks and Gardens are scary to take this family (come on you know! why).

Pubs and hotels are over flowing, no parking space, packs of other people searching the places like me (Last minute decision makers like us are hard to survey here!... my experience).

So next mission would be positively find a place like that.. Do you have some suggestions for this?

What to Start with??

This is my third ... (ah) Blog started in the span of 4 years.

Every time will find the best of the blogging sites, create a name, (block the name from others using it.. ) add the best of template, add beautification for the page with all available plugins ( like getting a Bride / Groom ready for the D-Day) then leave it for some time (read months / years).

Ultimately blogging sites send me reminders, warnings, last warning, final warning and then remove me (my pages out).

This time, I am serious to continue writing, posting on any circumstance. (This is not my new year resolution so will try and do it)

Good, some how started the blog.. (he he)
